Essential Voice is an Australian vocal studio utilising the Estill Voice Model to train students how to safely use their voice for singing, speaking and presenting. As part of their launch, they required a website that would enable them to have students register for events, book and pay for tickets, and find out as much information as possible prior to beginning a course with the various instructors. Unlike most vocal studios, however, Essential Voice focusses not only on recreational singers, but also specifically on professional voice users in many different industries.
Built on the WordPress platform, the Essential Voice site is easily updatable from any location with an internet browser. Even more importantly, however, the events and registrations on the site had to be carefully designed to presented the required information in an easy-to-use manner, and provide the ability for students to select an event and complete the entire registration process within the site itself. Managing these events is done within the WordPress administration section meaning that for Essential Voice, only one login and interface is required to maintain their current online presence.
In this project, some base work had already been completed by another developer. However since taking on the project, Scott Reynolds has retrospectively improved code and usability, built new functionality, and greatly enhanced the look and feel of the site within this existing framework. To complete the project, Scott Reynolds provided training to Essential Voice to enable them to independently update their site, and to manage their online event registrations now and into the future.
