Adapt4Life

Adapt4Life, an Adelaide-based “any day, anywhere” personal training service needed a new website for their business. Because Adapt4Life was a brand new company they needed a full-service solution – this included web design, web development, and still photography to create content which was to be used both on the site and in promotional materials. Adapt4Life is a modern personal training company, and the website needed to convey this modern flair and provide a unique communication tool that the company could use to provide its customers, both current and new, with news and information on their services.

The site needed to be built using a Content Management System (CMS), and in this case WordPress was the chosen system. Rather than building separate versions of the site for mobile and tablet devices, responsive design was used to ensure the site simply adjusted the to the available space. Because the site was designed from scratch, this allowed all elements to fit within a consistent branding strategy. Both Scott Reynolds and Adapt4Life felt that imagery was key in the design, however it was decided not to utilise full-screen background images here to avoid drawing focus from the information itself. A clean and simple design was required, and as a result imagery was used within the content rather than within the design itself.

Using the WordPress platform allows Adapt4Life to manage their entire online presence: including adding news stories and updates, modifying existing content, creating brand-new content, updating and adding photos to the gallery and pages, and also monitoring overall performance of the site. There is no need for Adapt4Life to call a web developer when they only need to update text or imagery – something that can allow them to be more responsive and save ongoing costs as a result.
